Chiodo Palace is located in the main street of the city's ancient walls, in the neighborhood San Salvatore. It is one of the most majestic palaces in the old town centre, already existing in the first half of the 16th century. Notarial deeds show that it belonged to the nobleman Vittorio Chiodo from Nardò, who fought in the service of Charles V. Today the palace, owned by Fonte Muci, seems to have maintained the same nineteenth-century structure: nine openings are arranged on the façade in axis on the two floors, bordered by a regular cornice along its entire length.
