The Museum of Memory tells a story of rebirth, integration and solidarity, overlooking the picturesque bay of Santa Maria al Bagno (hamlet district of Nardò).

In the immediate postwar period, thousands of people survived Nazism poured into Apulia. Allied forces, both British and American, identified the village of Santa Maria al Bagno and some nearby as ideal places to set up a reception camp for thousands of Jews between 1943 and 1947. The Museum keeps historical evidences of international importance and it welcomes visitors from all over the world.
