The "Porto Selvaggio and Palude del Capitano" regional natural park is a protected natural area located in the territory of the municipality of Nardò, between Santa Caterina and Sant'Isidoro.

Currently it covers an area of about 1,000 hectares, distributed along the coast. The latter is rocky and rugged, characterized by pine forests and Mediterranean scrub. There are high cliffs, coves, small bays and coastal springs. Every year thousands of visitors choose this amazing landscape to spend their relaxing days.

"Avanguardie company" proposes to explore the entire protected area, from its southernmost entrance to its northern end. This is the right opportunity for you to discover the prehistoric caves, the walls of ancient villages, the coastal towers and the fossil remains of fish and molluscs.

The natural park can be easily crossed on foot, allowing you to admire its beauty. In addition to the complete itinerary, you can choose different routes to visit individual areas of the park.
