Built at the end of 19th century, it looks more like a large urban building than a country villa. The red-coloured building that you can reach by an imposing staircase is symmetrically interrupted by cornices made up of Leccese lime stone, windows and balconies with triangle tympanums. The villa belonged to the wealthy Vaglio-Massa family. Later it was owned by Salvatore Caputo, who gave it to his son Carlo in 1937. The young Carlo, a medical officer, went missing during World War II and in the 1950s his brothers took over the property.
