In 1920 the villa was converted into an elegant seasonal residence by Giacinto Zuccaro.
Two wide flights of stairs make the entrance to the building very scenic. Hidden among the vegetation there is a small collection of statues and busts, collected by the Zuccaro family. Here there is the statue of Venus Callipigia, much loved by the director Franco Rosi who wanted to include it in one of his films, entitled "Cadaveri Eccellenti", shot at Palazzo Tafuri (Lecce). The noble villa was inherited by Maria Zuccaro, who married the magistrate Antonio De Mitri. The property is owned by the heirs of the De Mitri family.
